Insurance for Doula Care in Rhode Island

RI state law requires that Rhode Island insurance companies provide doula support benefits. To be eligible, your employer’s insurance must be based in Rhode Island.

BCBSRI/Federal Blue Cross: Southern RI Doula currently accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island and Federal Blue Cross and bills them directly. BCBS offers up to 15 hours of covered Doula Care, free of charge for it’s members.

Neighborhood Health and United Health RI: Southern RI Doula is in the process of becoming an in-network provider.

Aetna Employee Maternal Health Benefits, CVS Health, Maven, Carrot Fertility and Progeny: Stacey Bodziony, PCD(DONA) of Southern RI Doula is an approved doula with plans that reimburse for doula services.
